Recent Shirts

The first one is the most recent one I have done,
It is for Nathan's new band Reach,
I used and iron on transfer, which I normally use for my pillows
I do not particularly like iron ons for t-shirts, but the Reach logo has a lot of detail to it
I am going to add star sequins all of it because the logo looks like a galaxy to me
The top is from Banana Republic

The second shirt is my oldest shirt
It is a joke "sleep" shirt
I used stencils and red fabric paint from Michael's
The shirt says $hawty Revolution
I made it at the time were every Rap/Pop song had the work "shawty" in it

The 3rd shirt is the front of the Toilet shirt
It was for Nathan's first band Plane Of Existence
They had a song called Porcelain God
Which was about a girl who was bulimic and her struggles to fit in
The front has studs which made holes in the shirt... Not what I intended
The front words and stamped with sponge letters and fabric paint
The back was made with two separate stencils I found online and fabric paint
The shirt is from Old Navy

The third shirt with the bullets is also for Plane Of Existence
The shirt has silver bullets going across the chest
I made this shirt for their song Rambo
Each shell is individually stenciled on with silver fabric paint
The shirt is from Forever 21

Halloween Captain Hat

So, I don't know about everyone else, But I think the first hat is awful.
The second hat is one that I found at some little store in the mall, and could be found many places,
It was an all white female hat
I know it still looks pretty feminine,
But Nathan's costume was supposed to be a joke, so it really wasn't an issue

Pillow for Liz

I made this pillow for Liz
her request was a typewriter
It was really difficult to find the correct one.

DIY Vest, gone wrong.

I got this DIY from P.S. I Made This
my yard of fabric turned out to be WAY to small...
I cut two slits for the arms too far apart...
Somehow I have to salvage this project...

P.S. I Made This Vest

*If you want to do this project make sure your fabric is the correct dimensions.  I just bought mine at a local craft store, which I think is what my problem ended up being.

Wearable Art

I made this dress for a wearable art project.
This is not the finished product, but I will post it soon!
This is probably the 5th? item I have ever sewn
It is not the BEST quality, but I think I did a great job!
My teacher compared the dress to McQueen and Guiltier, haha,
Not to sure about that, but what a great compliment

Sedona

Not very much pictures, I know.
I wish there was more.
The ducks are Mandarin, cool, hu?
I took family pictures with my boyfriends family,
I will post them after she sends them to us.

Christmas present for my grandparents

A little cheesey, but I know they will love it!

Not the Miami you expected

My sister took these pictures of Nathan and me
I retook the pictures with my phone off her computer, ha,
I did not realize until I started uploading them that they were the ones taken with my phone,
But they look pretty much just as good.
I like these the most, Nathan and I are not very photogenic
My hair looks like Jane Brady in these pictures, thank goodness I got a hair cut a couple days later

Location: Miami, Globe

Clothing:
Me-
Dress: Chelsea & Violet
Socks: JCrew
Shoes: Steve Madden

Nathan-
Shirt: Jcrew?
Pants: Forever 21
Shoes: Sperry

Letters- L & L

Letters for Liz and Lucas
I wanted to do an ampersand in paper mache as well, but I cannot find one any where, just other materials...

PILLOW

So I made these burlap pillows with an iron-on
The first time it did not come out
The second one showed up a lot better with some tweaking of time and etc.
I do not like how you can see a little of the "clear" iron-on stuff on the edge
Hopefully it wont happen again, now that I know what I am doing

I also wrote on it "rubber ducky you're the one, you make create-a-pepper so much fun!"

DVD Shelves

These are some cheapy IKEA shelves that my boyfriend was getting rid of, coincidently my sister was looking to buy herself some DVD shelfs, so I decided to revamp them for her.
The shelves were painted black, which pealed off easily ;)
I then sanded a bit and painted off this off white greenish color
I am going to add these legs and some molding to dress them up a bit!

Finished product, Here

This little guy is for one of my co-workers. He requested anything orange, so I decided to make him a little orange monster.  Next to the monster is going to say "I CHOMP CHILDHOOD CANCER ROOOAR"
Hopefully he likes it!

Music note

(Mine)

I painted this picture with a little bit of mixed media as well- glass beads and paper.
If the placement looks awkward it is, I just put it there for now, it needs to be hung still.
The two letters I made as well, both are made with wood, and a damask scrapbook paper.

Our Collection

(Elle, I believe)

This collection inspired me to start my own. Skulls are normally creepy and mean death, and blah, blah, blah. But I think this collection is really simple and interesting. I decided to try and pick up a skull from every vacation spot I go to, it is actually a pretty fun little quest! So far we have only 4, the two smallest ones are buffalo horn beads from Hawaii, the medium sized one and the large one are from Sedona. Unfortunately I haven't been traveling very much, but it's okay, a collection should be small and simple.

Letters- ART & MUSIC

Like it?
I made it

I made this one too
These say MUSIC
the top is black paper in the picture, but I decided to flip them over and paint them with chalk board paint
